You start by lying down and I take a look at your breathing pattern to get an idea of where the breath is flowing through the body and where there may be improvement. We begin with relaxation through guided imagery and simple massage techniques. Once relaxed, you begin to breathe as mind and body, connect in profound ways. I help you direct your breath into specific areas and from there what comes forth is from your body’s intelligence. It is important to feel the movement of breath as you direct it into these new areas therefore I do a great deal of hands on assistance. We may use many types of helpful techniques to identify, observe or resolve whatever information surfaces through breathing. It is very gentle, slow, and safe. You may experience varied feelings, body connections and even a few moments of revelation. You might get clarity about a specific life issue. Many people find inspiration and awareness regarding their creativity for work or play. For some it is the first experience of inner peace and joy. And for others it is the very first time they ever really feel totally relaxed. Once you get there you can recreate that feeling again and again on your own thus reducing stress and tension in the body permanently. You will feel an immediate difference within your body while breathing. Ultimately the goal of each session is to bring your body quickly to this state of inner peace so that you can access it anytime when taking a deep conscious breath during your daily life. The quicker your body adapts to this new relaxed and balanced breathing method, the faster your emotional and chemical responses become a choice you make. You may even reach an altered state of awareness and suspend yourself in great peace. You will find the importance of inner presence and how making choices regarding your personal energy management are easily accomplished. Generally it takes more than one session to recreate your breathing pattern. I suggest 2-5. Breathing is not a cure and this is not a therapy.
